Passionate About Developing People
I am the Principal Consultant at Developing Brilliance, with extensive experience leading global L&OD teams; managing, coaching and developing Executives, teams and individuals to achieve power in transition. My background in Learning, development, performance change and knowledge management inform my personalised yet professional approach.
I am fuelled by my passion for developing and coaching others, particularly those going through transition; understanding and experiencing the nuances of how people respond and react to change. I am accredited in and use a range of tools to assist both teams and individuals going through any type of professional transition and I am always building on my academic foundations in development psychometrics to stay in tune with the latest strategies and developments through continued professional development.

My fascination with people development started early in my 25+year Corporate career, I have always been a relator, intrigued by the individualisation and uniqueness of others. I naturally gravitated to working in Learning & Development functions where I could focus on helping individuals and teams to develop their brilliance, whilst optimising their performance. As a leader I concentrated on building the esteem of my own teams, through personalisation and strong connectedness; adopting a strengths based approach to work and development.

This consistent and centred approach has contributed to building highly engaged and successful individuals and teams, delivering on major strategic projects and key campaigns. At the same times vastly improving the productivity of my teams by implementing greater structure and accountability, including strategic project and delivery management methods, whilst coaching and mentoring for high performance and greater collaboration.

At the heart of my focus I have a thirst for knowledge about people's strengths or super powers and a desire for them to understand and leverage these to be their authentic best selves every day and a determination to create opportunities for individuals and teams to work in their strengths to increase their energy, engagement and productivity.

I believe understanding and aligning our strengths, particularly when in transition is key to success - I personally experienced the power of strengths when I realised I was spending a lot of my time on activities that I performed really well and achieving goals, yet feeling de energised and lacking in motivation and satisfaction, this light bulb moment gave me the knowledge and impetus to consciously align my strengths; meaning that I now actively chose how to spend my time, doing what I love and practice integrating my signature strengths into my work and everyday life to optimise my energy and enjoyment, without diminishing my performance.

I have personally experienced the pain of poorly managed Corporate restructures and transitions, having observed and participated in many professional and personal transitions of my own, some of which I have chosen and others which have been enforced upon me, often without any or minimal effective practical support to help navigate through the change, let alone reimagine a new future.
